Gri's arguments actually make me want to side against them...
I think she's bought into the propaganda just a tad too much.

FREEDOM!!! I feel like this page should have been Friday's update, lol. I think both sides are kinda flawed. Neither is ideal. Yes, I personally would rather choose chaotic freedom, but not everyone values freedom over peace. I can't remember--did Everline offer the people of Earth to join Felora peacefully on an individual basis? Like refugees?
Matt Knab
You're right, neither side is completely correct. William doesn't realize, though, (and Gri is a little too young/inexperienced to understand) that PERSONAL freedom is extremely important in the Feloran Empire. Ev doesn't want to enslave them, she wants to give them a competent government capable of protecting them from the evil she knows is out there. William just sees a tyrant trying to conquer, unfortunately.

Yes, anyone is welcome to become a Feloran citizen, and many already have! Mito, Warren, Fargo and many others originated either on Earth or on Earth That Was (pre reality shift). The biggest issue is transport, as both space travel and magical transport are rare/expensive.
Peaceful slavery huh? Not sure I could go along with that argument either.

The sad part is neither of them knows the whole truth, even about what they are fighting for.
They could always just form an alliance without one trying to take over the other. Then they would be UNSTOPPABLE. >:D
Matt Knab
That would be smart, huh? Would have made for a much shorter volume, that's for sure! :)
I'm not sure that Gri even feels convinced of her argument. Then again, she's a soldier, not a diplomat.
Matt Knab
She's definitely a believer, she's just not very good at arguing her point.
