Well, Fargo couldn't be the ONLY one opposed to this plan.

Mito is one of the Empire's most powerful warriors. He's at about the same level as Yoshimuri the Third at this point.

She plays dirty for a young woman o.O

Mito is actually jumping to conclusions here.
Ev feels rather betrayed. Like, Mito is happy to have the safety of the Empire, but isn't willing to help shoulder the burden of responsibility. She's trying to point out that he has people he wants to protect, just as she wants to protect them. She's just saying it poorly and Mito is inferring a threat that isn't intended. She'll try to explain more clearly on tomorrow's page!
Ah, I could see that too...guess I took it just as poorly as Mito. (that means good writing on your part then, right?) But I could totally see Mito's side too--the same way a Japanese immigrant in WWII might have felt inner turmoil by fighting his origin country.
I can see how he'd view that as a threat.

Not surprising at all. Everyone is pretty tense over what's going on.
Everline could not be so blind as to think that there would not be opposition to this from former Earth citizens. I am Italian by ancestry and this new Iraqi Caliphate has threatened to invade Rome. You better believe that I would side with my ancestral homeland if war came to it.
Matt Knab
She knew there would be opposition, but Mito has been close to them for quite awhile now and she had expected he would support her.
