Earth existed.

It was not the Earth that any of them remembered.

Instead of the exclusive rise of technology that was recorded in all of the histories, this Earth had experienced a sudden and explosive reemergence of magic into the world right at the height of the industrial revolution. Governments crumbled as a large portion of the world's population were awakened to their latent magical inheritance. Clans of vampires, werewolves, jinni, and many more magical creatures ruled this world, as the small percentage of non-magical humans hid themselves and developed their technology under constant pressure of extinction.

This melting pot of magic, technology, and chaos gave rise to new heroes, new villains, and, for Imagarea, a whole new humanity to protect.

It was on this new Earth that the young telepath Kylie meets a demon behemoth named Gauntlet who, despite his feral ferocity, is a gentle soul who takes the young girl under his protection. The two travel the chaotic Earth and gather to them a myriad group of individuals who, despite their disparate origins, abilities, and personalities, come to find an odd sort of family in the small group of Earthbound souls.

I was digging through my old art and found this group shot of the Earthbound gang. Kinda neat to see how far it's come over the years! Thought you might like to see it. Kylie and Gauntlet are there at the bottom!
Sorry about the poor quality scan, however. Apparently, I drew this on the back of a flyer or something, and I had to crank the contrast to try to hide the words printed on the other side of the paper! :(

This reminds me a lot of RIFT from the 1980s and 1990s. It was a RPG with a chaotic-type earth like the one you described.

Interesting. I may have to look that up!
